For an appointment with the GP under the current pandemic please read below:
You are able to obtain a telephone or video consult on the day by calling the surgery if there is something you need to discuss urgently.
You can also book via eConsult from our website for non urgent queries and the GP can call you back or send you an email or electronic prescription if required. These are for less urgent issues.
We also have video consultations where a GP or nurse can send you a text asking you to join onto a session for a video consult if required. This can be done using a smart phone.
If a GP requires to see you, then you would be asked to come to the surgery in the afternoon when we have time set aside for the appointment. We will try and do this in a way that does not require more than one person in the waiting room at a time. Your GP will advise you of this after having spoken to you first but this is only IF the GP requests this to be done.
For the nurse appointments we are seeing and booking patients for the below:
- childhood immunisations (only one parent in with the baby please and no other children)
- travel immunisations
- wounds and dressings
- removal of sutures
- urgent blood tests or those required by the GP
- Smear tests for women who are required to have them in the current year
- Diabetes monitoring (part in surgery and part done on the phone)
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE COMING IN TO THE SURGERY ENSURE YOU DO NOT HAVE A FEVER OR COUGH OR SYMPTOMS RELATED TO THE CORONAVIRUS TO AVOID RISK TO OUR STAFF AND OR OTHER PATIENTS
